We source the finest, sustainable, green coffee and roast it to our exacting standards in a constant effort to create an amazing cup of coffee.

Roasting

Our wholesale clients have access to a list of coffee offerings, with roasts ranging from modern light roasts to classic Italian rustico.

We have developed custom roasts and blends for a number of accounts — including Biscuit Head, BattleCat Coffee Bar, Battery Park Book Exchange, Vivian, and Burial Brewing Co. We are happy to help guide you on your custom coffee needs.

Sourcing

As the industry trends towards more experimental processes and techniques, we are constantly looking for exciting coffees to offer our customers. We are proud to partner with Unblended Coffee for direct trade offerings of some of the finest coffees from Antioquia, Colombia. We can even source custom lots for your latest project — perfect for new cafes and breweries looking for coffees of exceptional quality for coffee beers.

We import the majority of our coffee through Cafe Imports, a green coffee importer with offices in the U.S., Germany, and Australia. All of our coffee offerings meet Fair Trade Organic standards.

Ordering

Free delivery to all accounts in the Asheville area.

Orders

We offer a streamlined ordering process with easy to follow instructions on ordering through Roaster Tools.

Orders received by Tuesday at noon are eligible for scheduled Wednesday delivery.

Deliveries

We require a ten pound minimum purchase for deliveries within a five mile radius of our River Arts District location.

We require a twenty pound minimum purchase for deliveries outside of the above mentioned radius.

All orders shipped outside of the greater Asheville area accrue shipping costs.

Training

We offer barista training for coffee shop employees where PennyCup coffee is served, as well as a number of coffee education courses.

Includes:

• Proper methods for extracting espresso shot
• Proper techniques for adjusting grind on espresso grinder
• Proper methods for texturizing milk for latte, cappuccino, etc.
• Proper techniques for daily, nightly espresso machine maintenance

Technical Services

PennyCup retains a highly-skilled technician, available exclusively to clients, 7 days a week.

New Clients Receive:

• Installation of all equipment purchased through PennyCup.
• A preliminary tech visit to assess current equipment and immediate PM service.
• Bi-annual preventative maintenance visits to all clients.

Includes:

• Changing of screens and gaskets
• Checking pressure on espresso machine
• Checking burrs on all grinders
• Assessing/calibrating coffee brewers

Ongoing tech services on equipment sourced and guaranteed by PennyCup.

Clients are billed at $65/hr for labor on their existing equipment, bought without our sourcing and guarantee. All parts for all services are billed to clients.
